Jubilee Reset Festival: A Nation Gathers to Worship, Pray, and Reset for the Future
As Papua New Guinea approaches its 50th year of Independence, a powerful wave of faith and unity is building across the nation. At the heart of this movement is the Jubilee Reset Gospel Music Festival, taking place on August 23–24, 2025, at Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby.
A flagship event of the PNG50 Government Celebrations, this two-day celebration of worship, prayer, music, and Christian unity is designed so that people can attend on either day or both, to experience the atmosphere, connect with others, and take part in a national spiritual reset.
“It’s not just a concert. It’s a spiritual reset,” says Pastor Peter Bogembo, Ambassador of the Jubilee Reset Festival. “This is an open invitation to every Papua New Guinean, young and old, from every province and background, to gather as one people under God.”
A Time to Reflect, Reset, and Rejoice
Rooted in the biblical idea of Jubilee, a time of restoration, forgiveness, and new beginnings, the festival’s message is one of national healing and fresh hope.
“Jubilee speaks of freedom and renewal,” Pastor Peter explains. “We want to mark this historic moment in our nation by turning our hearts back to God and celebrating the faith that has carried us this far.”
What You’ll Experience at the Festival:
Daytime Church Expo & Live Music
From morning to late afternoon each day, visitors can walk through church and ministry exhibition tents to learn about the rich history of Christianity in PNG and the vital role churches continue to play in nation-building. At the same time, the main stage will host live gospel music featuring local Christian artists, gospel bands, and choir groups, creating an uplifting and vibrant environment for all.

Each night, the stadium will come alive with powerful evening worship concerts featuring inspirational international gospel artists, and the most influential national bands and performers. These will be the highlight moments of praise and unity under the stars.
