Buk Bilong Pikinini today delivered 41 cartons containing 2000-plus library books for Sopu and Lamanaip Primary School in the Goilala District.
Buk Bilong Pikinini is an NGO currently working in partnership with DFAT – Australia’s development program and other business houses in Papua New Guinea to source library books from Australia and have them shipped to Port Moresby and distributed across selected schools around PNG.
Sopu and Lamanaip Primary Schools in the remote Goilala districts are two recipients of this goodwill gesture. The Goilala District Development Authority (DDA) has given its support to help with logistics and have these books transported to the respective schools.
This is going to be a long term arrangement which Buk Bilong Pikinini and Goilala DDA aims to cover all Schools in Goilala over time.
