WNB’s Silanga Parish Health Facility boost

Silanga Parish in the Diocese of Kimbe, West New Britain will see a much needed improvement in their health services with a level three Health Centre currently under construction in the mission area of Silanga Parish.

The project will cost around K5 million and an initiative of the member for Talase and Governor for West New Britain Hon. Francis Galia Maneke, funded through Provincial Services Improvements Projects (PSIP) and District Service Improvements Projects (DSIP).

Construction of the facility will be undertaken by AEAC, a Chinese Contractor based is Port Moresby will be supervised by West New Britain Provincial Health Authority and Catholic Health Services through signing of an MoA last month between the WNBPHA and Catholic Health Secretary Sr. Tecklah Nohowan.

The project is expected to be completed around December 2021 or January 2022, depending on the input of labour, resources and of course Kimbe’s weather patterns will also contribute to the project completion schedule.
