The Sepik Chicken Project construction phase has come to a successful completion and moving into the production phase.
Tomorrow Friday the 24th, the pioneer batch of chickens will arrive at the Huaripmo Farm.
Which basically forecasts that in 6 weeks time, East Sepik province and PNG will have their first taste of our Sepik Chicken, commercially farmed using the latest technology in the Sepik Plains at Huaripmo.
Member for Yangoru Sausia Hon. Richard Maru stated via his fb page “This is only the beginning of more to come that will transform our District, turning the Kunai grassland into green gold. Our future is in Agriculture, not mining, oil & gas!”
A dedication ceremony will be held at the farm to officiate the production. The potential of the Sepik Plains is US$25 Billion (K85 Billion) per year.
