Senior Public Servants Sign Employment Contracts


Governor General of Papua New Guinea, Grand Chief Sir Bob Bofeng Dadae, on Tuesday 8 December officiated at the employment contract signing ceremony of heads of missions and senior public servants.

They are the following:

Don Sawong as Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China for a period of 4 years;

Moses Niggi Kaugl as High Commissioner to Solomon Islands with concurrent accreditation to Vanuatu for a period of 4 years;

Joel Alu as Managing Director for the National Agriculture and Quarantine Inspection Authority (NAQIA) for a period of 4 years;

Steven Kilanda as Executive Director of National Cultural Commission for a period of 4 years;

James Kumbuk Bire as Commissioner (Trade & Corporate Services), PNG Customs Service for a period of 4 years.

The appointment of the heads of missions and senior public servants by the National Executive Council has been gazetted in the National Gazette.

Secretary of Personnel Management Ms. Taies Sansan and acting Secretary of Department of Foreign Affairs Mr. Elias Wohengu witnessed the signing ceremony at Government House this morning.
