Winning start for PNG at T20 Cricket World Cup Qualifiers

In their first T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019 Group A match, the PNG Barramundis have kicked off their campaign defeating Bermuda by 10 wickets at ICC Academy Ground 1 in Dubai.

Bermuda batted first and were bolwed out for 89, thanks largely to a stunning hat-trick by Norman Vanua, finishing with 3-14.

PNG passed the total without losing any wickets, with PNG skipper Assad Vala finishing on 53* (35) with Tony Ura also unbeaten on 33 from 27 deliveries.

  • 21 October: v Scotland, ICC Academy, Dubai
  • 24 October: v Netherlands, ICC Academy, Dubai
  • 25 October: v Singapore, Dubai International Cricket Stadium
  • 27 October: v Kenya, Dubai International Cricket Stadium
