Preparations are now underway to kick off the country’s biggest grassroots football tournament, the Besta FA Cup Regional Championship.
The tournament will see the different football associations throughout the country taking part across four different locations.
Lae Football Association will host the Momase-leg from 11-14 July, in what is expected to have fierce rivals Madang, LFA, Lahi and Morobe Football Association.
Arawa has been given a chance to host the NGI-leg from 24-27 July, while Goroka will host the Highlands-leg at the National Sports Institute from 31 July-04 August and Koupa Soccer Association will host the Southern-leg at Kaparoko village from 7-11 August.
Competition Manager Simon Koima said participating fees is K500.00 per team for member associations while K560.00 per team for associate members.
Koima pointed out that more information on the competitions forms and requirements can be obtained by contacting respective regional development officers.
