PNG Owned Company continues support for Snax Tigers

PNG Owned Classic Engineering and Construction (CEC) Limited announced on Friday its continued financial backing into the 2020 season for the Lae Biscuit Company franchise, Lae Snax Tigers. 

Classic Engineering and Construction Managing Director James Kennedy Steven presented K40,000 on Friday, totalling to K120,000 over three consecutive years now to Lae Snax Tigers. The cheque was received by Tigers head coach Stanley Tepend and Lae Biscuit Sales and Marketing coordinator Harry Kaisa. 

The sponsorship also marks Classic’s upholding as the biggest minor sponsor of the Snax Tigers.  Coach Tepend said the fulfilling of the continued commitment by Classic couldn’t come at a better time when the team is heading into the finals of season 2019. 

“This will be a boost for the boys,” Tepend said. 

On behalf of Ian Chow, Chairman of Lae Biscuit Company and franchise owner of Tigers, Kaisa thanked the Classic Company for putting their hand up as support sponsors of the Tigers. 

“We thank you for putting your hand up and your support in the last four years or so, and we will continue to give you the mileage through the Tigers team,” Kaisa said.

Classic Managing Director Mr Steven said being Lae based, the company supports Tigers who are also Lae based. Mr Steven recommitted his company’s support to the Tigers being a tough and disciplined franchise. 

Mr Steven indicated that he is as well thankful that his company’s support to the Tigers is worth it year in year out, including the Tigers claiming the minor premiership for the 2019 season.
