PNG Kumul Justin Olam scored a hat-trick to help Melbourne Storm secure the club’s third minor premiership in four years after tonight’s 36-6 win over Manly.
The Storm scored three tries in the first half to race to an 18-0 lead. The Sea Eagles hit back just before half-time when skipper Daly Cherry-Evans laid on a try for Taniela Paseka.
As the rain poured down, Melbourne piled on more points in the second half to claim a 36-6 win.
The victory is Melbourne’s third minor premiership in four years.
Celebrating his three tries, Olam was highly commended through the game by Fox Sport commentary team, saying Justin is no doubt first grade material, has grown better with every game and has now formed a strong combination with Josh Addo Carr.
Storm face the Cowboys next week in their final regular season game, while Manly face the Eels.
