The National Soccer League has called for expression of interest (EOI) from franchises wishing to participate in the upcoming 2019-20 Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League.

NSL acting manager Dimirit Mileng said preference will be given to those Franchise Clubs who meet all the affiliation criteria to participate.

Mileng said the 2019-20 soccer season will have three different Divisions of Competition – Men’s Premier Competition, Men’s Conference Competition and Women’s Competition.

The Men’s Premier competition is an open category competition for franchise clubs who meet all the prescribed requirements. The Competition will be played across the country and there are only eight (8) spots to be filled for the season.

The Men’s Conference competition is a closed competition geared toward the Member Associations of PNGFA. Member associations of PNGFA are encouraged to fill a team comprising of players who are registered within their association to participate within their Conference, then qualify to play against other Conference winners.

Member associations who are not willing or prepared to submit an E.O.I will not be penalised but the offer to participate will be given to another interested stakeholder to take up the spot. There are only six (6) spots per Conference.

The Women’s Competition is an open competition, starting this season with Northern and Southern Conference.

Mileng said all franchise clubs submitting their interest needed to comply with the following:

“EOI fees are non-refundable and shall be deposited into NSL account, and the copy of deposit slip with the bank receipt must be attached and submitted with the expression of interest form which will close at Friday 18 October.”
