After 5 rounds this weekend’s round 6 will take the 12 franchises into the home stretch of the 2020 Digicel Cup competition.

The Bintangor Goroka Lahanis along with the PRK Gulf Isou have each recorded a single win in the last 5 rounds. The Mt Hagen Eagles are yet to record a win yet. All three teams must win the remaining 5 rounds to have any hope of making the top 6.

The Kimbe Cutters have definitely shown they are the dark horse in the competition showcasing flare in their attacking speed but also already producing highlight reels of their defensive attributes. This weekend will be their first trip to the Tigers Den in the city of Lae and by now it’s pretty clear the Lae Snax Tigers are the yardstick to measure up to in the 2020 competition.

Plans to host one Round 6 match of the Digicel Cup in East New Britain’s Kalabond Oval have been cancelled due to the Bintangor Goroka Lahanis having air travel issues. Their match against the Agmark Rabaul Gurias has been moved to Lae, Morobe Province.

The PRK Mendi Muruks will be going up against the Central Dabaris. The Muruks, Gurias and Wigmen with only a loss are close on the heels of the defending premiers.

The Kroton Hela Wigmen will be up against a win-less but desperate Wamp Nga Mt Hagen Eagles outfit.
