Week one of the 2020 Digicel Cup is set to be a thriller with last year’s Grand finalists the Kroton Hela Wigmen and Moni Plus NCDC Port Moresby Vipers the favourites going into their respective matches.
The 2018 Minor Premiers and Grand finalists EPG Enga Mioks will also be looking at causing an upset against the dominant Wigmen.
4th place Vipers will lock horns with the 5th place Muruks, the Vipers kicking into gear at the bottom end of season and are on track to get their 5th straight win. Last week’s win against the reigning premiers and denying them 2020 minor premiership is a clear enough message to other franchises in the finals that the Vipers are serious contenders for the 2020 premiership.
