The Mt Hagen Show Committee received an added sponsorship boost of K20,000 from Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) this week for the staging of the 60th Mt Hagen Cultural Show, for 17th and 18th August 2019.
The Bank as a leading brand in PNG raised its hand to support the prestigious cultural event in recognising and promoting PNG’s unique culture, small businesses and supporting economic development through Tourism.
Speaking at the presentation, BSP Mt Hagen’s Deputy Branch Manager, John Tomba Jnr, said “Our contributions to such cultural and tourism events, ensures such shows are sustained, so our cultures and traditions are maintained, and we use the opportunity to showcase our PNG people, our products. Our BSP staff will be available at the show, to assist with customer enquiries, and account opening.”
“Mt Hagen, the Western Highlands Province, and the Highlands Region is a key contributor to PNG’s economy through the support of the informal market, farmers, fresh produce markets and the SMEs. BSP is pleased to continue its support for another year,” he added.
Chairman of Show committee John Bonny thanked BSP for the support and recognising BSP as a Bronze level sponsor of the Mt Hagen Show, 2019.
Mr Bonny added, “We acknowledge the support of BSP and other corporate sponsors who have continued to contribute to building the Province and Region’s exposure, both locally and internationally.”
