Tusbab Laidamon will have the opportunity to host the visiting teams in the second leg of the Women National Soccer League (WNSL) starting this weekend while Pacific Gardens will have their opportunity next weekend.
As per the draw, the Rachel Wadunah-coached Laidamon of Madang will host their first home game this weekend (January 23, 2021) at Laiwadan Oval against visiting Bara FC from neighboring Morobe province for the first time since the launching of the inaugural premier women football competition last year.
The Madang-based team will then host Poro FC in Round 9 on January 30, 2021 and then Rainy Lae on 27 February (Round 14).
The only women’s football team representing the highlands region, the Pacific Gardens Hotel sponsored franchise will also have their chance to host home games at National Sport Institute, Goroka.
The Cathy Agunam managed team will host Rainy Lae in Round 9 and followed by Poro on February 13, 2020 at the home ground of football in Eastern Highlands, the National Sport Institute Oval.
The Eastern Highlands based team will play their last match against Tusbab Laidamon on March 6, 2021.
PNGFA Competition Director Paul Isorua said PNGFA and the WNSL Interim Committee would like to spread the game throughout the provinces to allow teams with NSL can host such matches once in a while.
It is another way of promoting women football in the country.
