Happy winners as Nature Park wraps up Family Event

Port Moresby Nature Park in collaboration with Lae Biscuit Company has successfully wrapped up its 5-weekend long family event called the Lae Biscuit Fairies in the Park event on Sunday 8^th of August.

The event, sponsored by Lae Biscuit Company with the assistance from supporting sponsors and prize sponsors, had been received well and enjoyed by the majority of families visiting the Park since July 10^th when the ‘Fairy Village’ officially opened to the public.

Children as young as one year olds could be seen with their parents enjoying the various activities that were staged during the duration of the event.

One such activity that had attracted crowds into the park and given families more added reasons to spend more time with their children around the park was the Lae Biscuit Mystery of the Liklik Toti Fairy Activity that was held every weekend with weekly prizes drawn for four lucky winners.

20 weekly winners have been gifted by proud sponsor Lae Biscuit Company throughout the event. Along with these winners, the Nature Park, with the great support of its good corporate supporters, received an additional nine valued prizes to signify the final draw for the Fairies event.

On the last day of the Lae Biscuit Fairies in the Park event, the Port Moresby Nature Park hosted a Grand Live Draw on Sunday 8^th of August, to gift participants who had participated in the Mystery of the Liklik Toti Fairy Puzzle Activity.

The Grand Draw consisted of 4 Major Prizes sponsored by PNG Air, Holiday Inn & Suites, Enzo’s Express Take-away and Airways Hotel, in supporting Lae Biscuit’s Fairies in the Park event.

Mark James was the lucky Grand Prize winner, winning himself a Round-Trip Ticket sponsored by PNG Air.

3year old Wilhelm Tambagle was the happiest of the two 2^nd Prize winners, winning himself a Night’s Accommodation at Holiday Inn. The other 2^nd Prize winner was Jesse Kiohin.

Two very deserving 3^rd Prize Winners were Nemaiah Nita and Natasha Tau who each won themselves and a family member, a lunch buffet voucher at the Vue Restaurant courtesy of Airways Hotel.

Nemaiah Nita and his mum were regulars at the Lae Biscuit Fairies in the Park event every weekend. However, it was truly a magical experience for Natasha Tau, who had diverted her parents’ plans for their Sunday afternoon by asking them to bring her to the Fairy Village to take part in the competition as well as have her dress up as a fairy.

Granting her wish they brought her to the Port Moresby Nature Park after midday, where not only did we catch a glimpse of her in her beautiful fairy outfit, but also caught her as one of the lastminute entries for the Grand Draw.

Natasha shares her win with her parents, making it a memorable experience for them all.

It is these memorable experiences that the Nature Park wishes to offer to the general public and everyone who visits the Park; hence the Port Moresby Nature Park is proud to have successfully hosted the Lae Biscuit Fairies in the Park this year.

Last but not least, the Park thanks all its guests throughout the Fairies event who have been visiting and participating in the various activities staged at the Fairy Village, adding much needed colour and magic at the Park for everyone to share the same happy experience each weekend.

The Park is open every day with a number of additional COVID-19 safety measures in place, along with ensuring of proper social distancing practices and promoting of washing of hands & importance of self-sanitization at public spaces and our No Mask, No Entry policy strictly enforced.
