Women’s 1500m Final

Poro Gahekave won gold for PNG and Lyanne Tibu bronze. Silver went to Guam.

Women’s 100m Hurdles

Silver to Adrine Monagi clocking 13.99 seconds. Gold to Australia and bronze to New Caledonia.

Men’s Long Jump

Bronze to Richard Peniel finishing with a jump of 7.01m. Gold to Samoa and silver to New Caledonia.

Women’s 200m Final

Toea Wisil won gold and Leonie Beu bronze with silver to Fiji. Wisil clocked 23.45 seconds and Beu 24.40 seconds. Gold in the 200m means Wisil has become the first to win the 100, 200 and 400m in three consecutive Pacific Games.

Men’s 200m Final

Bronze to Theo Piniau finishing with a time of 21.70 seconds. Gold to Fiji and silver to Samoa.

Men’s 5000m Final

Bronze to James Gundu.

Women’s 800m Heptathlon

Bronze to Edna Boafob and silver to Raylyne Kanam

Women’s 4x400m Relay

Gold to PNG finishing with a time of 3:44.86 seconds. Silver to Fiji and bronze to Vanuatu.

Women’s Triple Jump

Annie Topal won gold and Rellie Kaputin silver. Bronze went to Tahiti.

Men’s 4x400m Relay

Gold to PNG.

Women’s Javelin

Sharon Toako won gold for PNG.

Women’s Power Lifting

PNG won 4 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze in the 47kg, 52kg, 57kg and 63kg categories.

Men’s Power Lifting

Andrew Kalauwon gold and Martin Titus silver in the 59kg division.

Ruben John took out the Bronze for PNG in the 66kg.

Touch Football

PNG mixed touch team won 3/3 games; 18-2 against Solomon Island, 17-6 against Tonga and 13-5 against the Cook Islands.


PNG went down to Cook Islands 58-31. PNG to play for bronze on Day 11.
