PNG secured gold, defeating host country Samoa 3-1. PNG women have now won 5 Pacific Games gold medals.
PNG Men’s Soccer
After drawing at full time 1-1 with Fiji, PNG eventually lost to Fiji 4-2 in the penalty shootouts. Fiji secured bronze, PNG finished 4th overall.
PNG Mixed Touch Football
PNG claimed gold in a nail-biting finish winning 10-9 against host country Samoa.
Men’s Triathlon
Seth James finished 11th with a time of 1 hour and 10 minutes, his new personal best.
Closing Ceremony
The closing ceremony for the Samoa 2019 Pacific Games started at 6:30pm local Samoa time, Saturday 20th July 2019.
