From Facebook page to launching a one-stop online employment hub

In late October 2020, Lazarus Towa, a 30 year old humanitarian advocate from Chimbu Province launched his website; lazarustowa.com

A one stop hub to help people seeking employment and a platform for organisations to advertise their job vacancies, individuals and organisations can signe up for free to utilize multiple services offered on the site.

Sitting down with PNGBUZZ TV, Lazarus gives an insight on how the website came about and touched on a couple of the multiple services the website features:

Lazarus Towa started his humanitarian work from his Facebook page; Current Job Vacancies Repost with LT which has over 200 thousand followers. He now facilitates workshops and short courses in job hunting skills, to now running a website all out of his own pocket he began his initiative in 2014.

He has engaged in multiple voluntary work and has earned himself a few awards over the years which included a United Nation Youth Champion for Sustainable SDG’s in 2017, Commonwealth Youth Award Finalist for Excellence in Development work in 2018 and the Digicel PNG 2018 Young Man of Honor Award.

With a passion to serve humanity, Mr. Towa is open to work with like-minded people and bring about positive change and development to PNG’s greatest resource which is its citizens. He encourages young adults to be consistent, determined and to have hope and faith in what they want to achieve in life.
