Wasu Secondary School receives DESP funding

A cheque of K352,000.00 was presented to Wasu Secondary School in the Morobe Province by Tewae Siassi MP and DDA Chairman Hon Dr Kobby Bomareo with the District Development Authority (DDA) team.

The District Education Scholarship Program (DESP) funds will cover the full parental component fees for the 2020 academic year.

While presenting the cheque, Dr Bomareo asked the school administration to refund the amount of parental component or project fees the students, parents and guardians have paid.

Siassi Lutheran High School, Bunsil High School, Sialum Technical High School and Tewae Siassi students at Dregerhaffen SS will also be presented their cheques in the coming weeks.

This tuition fee payments falls under the Tewae Siassi District Eduction Scholarship Program which is an ongoing program.

The MP also officiated the ground breaking ceremony for major roads that provide service to the communities.

First load of machineries for three (3) new cut roads and the main highway upgrade arrived in Wasu on Thursday 13th August 2020 with the second lot of machinery still on its way.
