The National Government’s drive to promote second chance learning and to push for Flexible, Open and Distance Education (FODE) is being realised in the district of Finschhafen in Morobe.
The Heldsbach FODE Centre is one of the institutions which will benefit from the Direct Funding Assistance to Education Programs which allocated funding to execute the school’s business as planned and programmed.
The principal to Heldsbach FODE Centre, Mr. Dicks Iwong received K15,000 from Finschhafen District Development Authority (FDDA) on Friday last week. Representing the Chairman of FDDA Hon. Rainbo Paita, Mr. Musen Sora presented the check.
Heldsbach FODE Centre has currently enrolled over 200 students ranging from grade 9 to 12 and expecting better results with the support from the government in giving a second chance to the young population especially in remote areas.
