Dept of Community Development & Religion to partner with CEFI

The Department for Community Development & Religion and the Centre for Excellence in Financial Inclusion (CEFI) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) this month with the intent to roll out Financial Inclusion Trainings at the community levels.

The parties agreed at the Draft MoU Review Workshop organised by the Informal Economy Section last week to roll out the Trainings in three District Community Development Centres (DCDCs) beginning with Imbonggu, Bialla and Gazelle.

Senior Managers from the Department and the representatives from CEFI went through the Draft MoU Document and made final recommendations with strong emphasis on meeting the practical needs of people who are engaged to Informal Economic activities.

Acting First Assistant Secretary, Informal Economy, Community Learning, Community Environment and Religion, Mr David Nugi thanked the participants for the successful completion of the workshop.
