Choc Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 150 g butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 and 3/4 cups plain flour, sifted
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C
- Beat butter and sugars in a medium mixing bowl until creamy
- Add in the egg and vanilla and beat further until well combined
- Add in the flour and chocolate chips and mix with a wooden spoon till dough forms
- Measure out 1 tablespoons each of dough and roll into balls
- Place on lined baking trays about 3cm apart; flatten slightly and bake in oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on trays before transferring to a wire wrack to cool completely. Store in airtight container.
