Football fans will be allowed again to attend Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League matches in Port Moresby and Lae after the Papua New Guinea Football Association secured permission for spectators to return from the Controller.

Starting this weekend, only 2000 tickets will be sold out to spectators and it will be strictly entry by tickets to ensure the required number of spectators are easily managed.

The decision for the return of spectators is a major boost for our competition after it had moved behind closed doors for two months.

NSL acting manager Dimirit Mileng said, tickets will be sold at the match venue for K10 (grandstand) and K5 (outerstand).

“Tickets boot will be set up near the teams entry gate and the small gate next to the bus stop opposite TISA haus.

“There will be no food and drings sold at the site, therefore spectators are encourage to bring their own bottle of water and food.

“Once the tickets are all sold out there will be no more entries. Strict crowd management plans will be enforced with one-way entry and exit.

“Spectators will be required to wear masks and pratice social distancing while on stadium grounds. No congregating will be allowed in parking lots and inside the stadium grounds, Mileng said.

Strict adherence to the PNGFA Competition Day Protocols, PNG Sports Foundation COVID 19 Protocols and Niupela Pasin measures are expected.

The Covid19 Surveillance and Monitoring team from National Control Centre (NCC) will be inspecting these matches to ensure compliance.
