All eyes on Justin Olam in NRL Grand Final

Many are calling it Panthers versus PNG on Sunday as Justin Olam and the Melbourne Storm go into the NRL 2020 Grand Final, capping off a highly impressive season for the PNG Kumul with the Storm.

News headlines in the Australian media this week read; ‘Best centre in game: Addo-Carr praises Olam as Storm pair prepare to fire’ & ‘Olam flying high after deluge of love from northern homeland’ are a reflection of the impact that Olam has made on the NRL this season.

Before signing with the Storm in 2017, Olam joined the PNG Hunters in the season prior in 2016, when Assistant Hunters Coach Nigel Hukula and then Hunters Captain and Centre Noel Zeming first came to know and work with Justin.

PNGBUZZ TV Video: Hukula & Zeming recall when Olam joined the team in 2016, and point out key things that they believe has lead to his progression to NRL:

From humble beginnings in Simbu Province to achieving a University degree and now playing in an NRL Grand Final, Justin Olam is a great example and role model for many young Papua New Guineans looking to find success in sport and their careers in general.
