The PNG American Football Federation (PNGAFF) have received some much needed sports gear donations all the way from the United States:
Timothy John the man behind PNGAFF had reached out seeking assistance from the US based Charity Organistion in 2020 and in early 2021 the Christian NGO known as HiS PRINT delivered 3 huge cartons of American Football equipment that PNGAFF can use in introducing the sporting code to interested PNG youths. HiS PRINT Ministries is a Nonprofit Organization based outside of Houston, Texas USA.
With the sport relatively new to most Papua Niuginians, Tim is enthusiastic with the support PNGAFF is already receiving from as far as Canada and as close as Australia who are showing support with the game being introduced to PNG youths. Timothy aims to introduce the sporting code to schools especially and any interested individuals with the hope that in the future, students can be able to secure themselves scholarships to the US through American Football.
The equipment in total received included 76 shoulder pads, 75 helmets, 7 footballs and 56 pairs of shoes
