New hybrid institution in Finschhafen

Heldsbach Junior Primary & Early Childhood Teachers College opened its gates for the first time with about 570-plus students registering for the courses on offer at the new hybrid institution in Finschhafen district in the Morobe province.

Morobe Governor Hon. Ginson Saonu who was present to officiate the opening was given a comprehensive overview of the school’s initial process of registering the pioneer students who were enrolled from all nine districts within Morobe Province.

Speaking at the event Governor Saonu highlighted Five Key Pillars of the Institution to the new pioneer intakes which include:

  1. All Children to speak English right in the village. Communication is the power to gain, the power to fight and power to do anything. All new educated children must learn English fluently because English is the Universal Language of the World.
  2. Knowledge of how to Use Money. All Children must understand what is money, value of money , how to make money, how to spend money and how to save money. So ciety will break or make with Money.
  3. Positive Character Building. Children must be trained with positive character to bring change in the society in the future.
  4. All Children must be healthy in mind, body and soul. This will encourage balanced growth of the child to learn without any hindrance.
  5. Christian Principles must be made a standard learning subject for all children in the future.

Morobe Provincial Education Reform Coordinator Mr. Haring Quoreka who was instrumental in bringing the institution into reality was also on hand to witness the fruits of his hard work and commitment.

Governor Saonu and Mr Quoreka further presented a new school truck purchased by the Morobe Provincial Government through the decision of Governor Saonu to assist the school in its operation.
