After a nail-biting finish to scrape past Hekari United in a penalty shootout, NSL competition freshmen Vitiaz United now prepare for the final showdown against defending title premiers Toti Lae City FC come Saturday evening in the Kumul Petroleum NSL 2020 Grand Final.
Following a successful regional campaign which saw them win the Division One of the Port Moresby Soccer Association in 2019, Vitiaz United, a young team packed with talent but lacking in finals experience will be looking at Captain Eliud Fugre and Mathew David to guide the side this Saturday.
In a joint press conference this afternoon captains for both teams Eliud Fugre of Vitiaz United and Toti Lae City Emanuel Simon both captaining a side into a grand final for the first time remain confident in the match ahead.
Vitiaz United Team Manageress Rogena Strach said the guys have settled down from the excitement of their achievement and have settled in well this week leading up to the bid day.
Softly spoken Vitiaz United Captain Eliud Fugre is excited to lead and inspire the younger players in the team.
